Where did Spring Cleaning come from? Tips for Spring Cleaning and Household Solutions

On SALE – visit us at www.innofresh for sale and free ship deals.

From the very early days, several ethnic groups and faith traditions adopted Springtime rituals of cleaning, before or after celebrating holidays, that may have evolved over time into what we now call “Spring Cleaning”.    In times past, particularly in cold climates, people kept their houses closed throughout the cold months and heated their homes with coal, oil and wood.  The coming of Spring was the time to make a musty home, fresh and clean again.  The arrival of Spring was a time to throw open windows and doors and allow fresh air into the home and to clean the yuck that was built up in mattresses, rugs, drapes, etc., removing soot and ash that had built up over the winter months.   Even mattresses, that were made of straw or other natural materials, would typically wait until Spring to replace the old filling with fresh dry hay.

Home Solutions – Top Pick for fighting tough fridge and freezer odors and keeping ice tasting good

Photos - Real Simple 1RReal Simple magazine offers advise from energizing your life, ultimate guides, gifts, clothing advise and home solutions.   Real Simple offers the solution – “Speed Clean Your Freezer In 20 Minutes”.  In an earlier article, they featured FRIDGE IT activated charcoal odor absorbers from Innofresh as a “secret weapon and top pick” for getting the job done.   “Fridge IT cube fights tough odors (and keeps ice from tasting funky) for up to six months”.

Thank you to Real Simple magazine for sharing these tips as well as so many other great features and articles.    For more information about Fridge IT, Innofresh Products and our line of special ventilated, activated charcoal odor eliminators, please visit us at our website at www.innofresh.com.

Fridge IT activated charcoal odor eliminators also works equally amazingly all around the house including closets, storage, under sinks, trash areas, musty cabinets, stinky diaper pails, dorm rooms and so much more.   The secret is in our special  high grade activated carbon that we use and our advanced porous process.  Beats baking soda!

Is there a difference between regular charcoal and activated charcoal for odors?

We are often asked about the difference between regular charcoal and activated charcoal –  “Does activated charcoal (or activated carbon) really work better than regular charcoal briquettes used on the barbeque grill to absorb and eliminate odors?”.

The answer is a big YES.   And even more importantly is the safety of not using ordinary barbeque charcoal.  Activated carbon or activated charcoal is actually special oxidized charcoal that has gone through a pretty extensive process which significantly increases the microscopic pores that attract and absorb odors.  Click here for a more detailed description of activated charcoal at this link –   http://www.innofresh.com/activated-carbon/

Safety – This is something very important. Another distinction is that, in addition to not being as “pure” or oxidized as activated carbon, charcoal briquettes generally have other chemicals added to them to bind and make them combust better for use in grills. This is another reason we do not recommend charcoal briquettes for eliminating odors to avoid cross contamination with chemicals.
This all adds up to superior odor control performance compared with other products.    For more information, please visit our web site at www.innofresh.com and learn more about our popular FRIDGE IT and Innofresh fragrance free activated carbon odor absorbers and how to use them effectively.

All our products are proudly manufactured in the USA.
